Hi there fellow RPG fans!

I post here because I feel that this is a forum where I can find people like myself - people who enjoy good games even if they are slightly old-school and does not cater for the mainstream market. Personally I'm proud to admit that I often enjoy games that no-one else seems to notice or play.. and being in the game industry myself (I'm a programmer at a game company) I have a special fondness for games that are developed by a team where the big money from a tried license isn't necessarily the ultimate goal. Much like our good friends here at Larian (whose work I simply admire btw!)!

Recently I came across a german action/rpg game called "Neuro Hunter". At the game website they described the game as a strange mixture of "Gothic", "Deus Ex" and "Mac Gyver"! Being a big fan of the first two titles I immediately took notice of this strange title and bought myself a copy.

And this brings me to the purpose of this post - if any of you out there are looking for a new title to play I would like to recommend "Neuro Hunter" as a candidate. Sure, it has quite a few areas where it becomes clear that this is a game developed by a slightly inexperienced crew without the backup of a strong license or multi million dollar budget. The game certainly has some rough edges and the dialog is quite corny and stereotype at times - but somehow it still managed to capture me and I find myself playing it alot these days.

The game is only out in Germany and England but I got my copy very cheap at ebay (£11 with shipping to Europe - Denmark in my case) so it should be within the budget of most players. So if you're willing to take a chance, try it out and tell me what you think <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Maybe it's just me being a strage wierdo or the game might actually be kinda good for people like us... I dunno...
