I don't know what kind of tools Larian has to work with, but it seems that one of their many newer machines would be able to reproduce the random crashes so many people are experiencing lately who never experienced a crash when the game originally came out. I think more people than just the computer illiterate with cluttered, trashy drives are experiencing this.
