3D graphics are not as good as 2D graphics (it's my own opinion).

I prefer 2D graphics, because if there are polygons involved, you can usually see the straight lines on round objects, or some bits on things seem flat, as a perfectionist I can't stand polygons unless they have a lot of depth and sleekness. The 3D graphics in BD were terrible in my opinion, while the 2D graphics of DD were simply perfect on the terrain.
at a serious note, i really think that wildlife is a must for games. It makes the world look real, look like it lives. No birds, no small critters etc makes a world look dead.
I agree, rocks and random objects can't make up for that. I would actually like it if I could see birds flying in the sky on DD2, that would make the world more realistic.
