Can you extract all the other files in the archive? If wizmB.bic is the only problem file, then I'm not sure, but you may still be able to play a male wizard by going into the options within the game and changing the visual quality setting (to have the game use a different set of animations for the hero).
The only difference between the male and female mages (besides voice and appearance, of course) are the starting skills.

Try copying the wizm.rar file to a folder on your hard drive, and see if you can extract the files from there. If not, try fixing the archive (after opening it in Winrar there should be an option under the commands or tools menus, or from Windows Explorer there may be an option in the right click context menu to test and/or fix the archive).

All the files shown without an extension are tga files. If you switch to details view rather than icons, there should be a file type column which lists them as something like 'tga files'.
By default, Windows XP (stupidly) hides known extensions (so, for example, virus.txt.exe would be displayed as virus.txt making it more likely people would try to open it). To change this, in Windows Explorer, click on the 'Tools | Folder Options' menu, then switch to the View tab. In the Advanced Settings list, uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file types'. You may also want to check off 'show hidden files and folders'.

Did you try copying the 'back' tga file from the CD in different optical drives (the *.bik files do not matter)? If so, it sounds like there is a defect or damage to the CD.

In any case, that file is small, so I can put up a temporary link so you can get it: back.tga zip (887KB). After downloading it and extracting it into the static folder, you shouldn't have any more errors at loading screens.
