hmm well I for 1 am glad Val's day is finished, after serving 199 (yeah I know a few tables of 3 ? and a few tables for 1 and 1 table of 5) who wanted everything to be perfect for their companions, I think I managed to please the majority <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Some years ago it was not so bad.
For Val's day people just sent nice postcards to the boys or the girls they liked.
It was not only a day for lovers but the occasion to say to someone you liked him/her.
The people very shy just sent anonymous cards and it was funny to guess who had sent the card.
It was not commercial at all : no present, no flowers, no restaurant.
At last the people were very happy if they had received a lot of cards.
Now everything is spoiled by people who want to make money just like Christmas. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

This holiday is easy when you get married...better too. We just made dinner together and ate at home, we drank milk out of wine glasses because we were both too tired to drink in the middle of the week and then we sat on the couch and ate chocolate covered strawberries...I wont elaborate beyond that, there are kids here and I dont think this forum is rated for R, or XXX <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

What made me happy today, was an get well card that my collegues gave me (allthought two weeks after I got back at work, but what the heck huh?) and the sum of 50€ inside the envelop! I'm gonna get me something pretty this weekend! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bday_jump.gif" alt="" />

For Valentines Day, we got some heart-shaped candy which nobody (but me) ate, so we'll stop with that. My fatehr bought some heart-shaped chokolate for my mother too, which I havn't finnished yet <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />...

Not much make me happy. Not much makes me sad either. Feels a bit like my social life is on hold til later.
