& there u go, ladies & gentlemen, Raze has done it again, proving that Canada is rich of quality comedians who would go at length (the great member that he is) crafting very technical jokes which are light years in advance.

it is reported that his April Fool's jokes have yet to be fully deciphered & understood.

@ Lady Rain -> bets are already off since he's already here. too bad! else we could've made lots of money here.

I see your point about boredom now.

I have reached Act II and the BFs are too linear and too lengthy. And I ain't getting any exp by killing those useless minions

Take a hint from the people who really LOVE the game.....

SKIP the Battlefields... they are good for trading posts, and thats all i ever use it for...

Whatever you do..... dont quit the game now..... get your (_x_) to act 4... thats where the BEST fun is ever

I even had nightmares about it when we were testing the patch.....

now this is a story thats never been told here... but that i am getting teased for at home regularly....

I tested act 4 mostly... (i find that the fun part of the game), well... enough to get nightmares about what i did over and over again....

Speaking to one of the ranaar instructors you get teleported into tunnels with teleporters in, and you need to find the exit.... the tunnels were filled with shadow creatures. So for a few hours in that part, i went monster slashing and some more monster slashing. And every time you teleport somewhere, you are bound to end up in the middle of a hourd of very strong little buggers, that hit me fairly hard, since i had no shadow resistance...

Wellllll one night i go to sleep... and dream that a group of us are IN those tunnels.... hacking our way through the hordes of shadow creatures... but something went VERY VERY wrong with the new patch.... the shadow creatures had clusters of eggs every where (that was intended for visual beautification only) that started hatching now..... We valiantly fight our way through a fair bit of these tunnels... but alas eventually health potions run very low, and we are tired, hurt and stuck in tunnels full of creatures..

So we switch to sneak mode, just trying to find the exit and get the Hell out of there... which went on fairly well, except for we havnt found the exit yet.

At which point i (ALMOST) woke up... I knew i was in my room again... BUT there was loads of shadow creature eggs everywhere.... so i leaned over, and asked Andrew (hubby) to very very slowly switch on the light, there are "spiders" everywhere.....

I think he is still laughing at this... and i get it often eenough too....

So..... i think the point i am trying to make is.... act 4 is fun enough to dream about, and have nightmares about

@Lady Rain
You must be knowing that playing a lot can have psychological effects on you, and you should be alarmed if you start having nightmares. Be warned if you really care (It is highly likely that people around you would already have told you these things by now)

I experianced "such unusual" things when I played DD. When I blinked my eyes, I could see the game for a moment... with music.

Talking about music... DD's music does not leave that kind of an effect as compared to BD. The best music I have ever heard in a game was in Return to Castle Wolfenstein. This has been acknowledged by two of my other friends. One of them finds the music scary and recommended me not to play a particular section of the game in night!

HoMM III. Great music. But then again, it wasn't really a moody game, like RPG's.

Acually wasn't that fond of Divinity's music, at least not some instrumens used (even thought Kirill probablly made it all on a computer ). I know a lot of pepole think the music in Divinity is great, but you can't argue about taste, so to say.

Okay... Okay... I am skipping the BFs. I don't really blame the game testers for not being perfect about finding the bugs in BFs.

In one of the levels I found 2 rings called bone spear ; I couldn't find the entry to 3 underground dungeon in one of the levels; and in one of them, the 3 underground dungeon was completely empty (there was no one kill and nothing to pick up).

In the battlefields, the dungeons, the monsters and the quests are randomly generated by the game.
So it is possible to find a great number of monsters in one dungon and no monster at all in another one.
For finding the entry of the dungeons, you can have a look at these maps made by gamebanshee or you can use the official strategy guide.

Yes don't blame the game testers.
I was a game tester but i tested the beginning of act 2 not the battlefields.
A tester can find a few bugs but not all the bugs because he/her can play ten times a part of the game without finding a bug and at the eleventh time he/her can find bugs.

The bone spear bug was found relatively quickly, but it was either not trivial to fix or not considered serious enough to give it priority over other bug that were fixed.

Sometimes a BF dungeon entrance can be partly or completely obscured by a wall. Check the auto map, to see if you can see some blue sticking out somewhere. Running around methodically searching with the mouse can also help.
Occasionally the entrance can be a pile of rocks, rather than the usual fountain thingy.

The third underground dungeon in every level of a BF is supposed to have at least one monster to kill (or something to be picked up) in order to complete the quest.

It would be reasonable to assume there would be at least one quest solution in each BF dungeon, but they really are distributed randomly, so you could have most third levels of dungeons empty and 4 or 5 quest items or monsters in the same dungeon.

The general consensus in the forum seems to be that people who clear the BF dungeons would like some type of boss monster at the end of the dungeon (as motivation / reward for getting through the earlier levels), even if it were not quest related.

One of my absolutely scariest moments in my life was when I had been playing fairly long, looked out of my window, and asked my self : "What kind of screen refresh rate has reality ?"
That was the moment I *really* got scared.
