Ok I finallly get me a key to enter the battlefields. I'm exploring the area and come across some weird looking circular thing and when I mouse over it says "Entrance, Locked" Here is the pic, I took a SS so i could show you what I'm talking about for clarity purposes. It's small so it shouldnt hurt l;oading times.

Any idea on what this is and if so can you give me a hint, not a spoiler please, but a hint as to where or how I could unlock this.

thanks again for the help.

If i remember correctly you are still in act1 (which means there will be 3 of those entrances).

In act 1 in the main game, there are also 3 battlefield keys, like the one you found... each one will unlock ONE of those entrances.... i presume you will just have to run around a little more (since you dont want spoilers as to which entrance is where) in the battlefield to find the right one that is unlocked.

When you enter through the entrances, you will have 3 dungeon levels to clear of monsters.

NOTE: though its a common belief that you will find a boss-monster on the 3rd level, that is not guaranteed.... but then again in some dungeons you will find more than 1 boss on level 3, which makes up for it...

Yes I am still in act 1. If I'm understanding your post correctly I also think I understand exactly where the other entrances will be but I will not spoil it for someone who has not reached this point by telling you my thoughts on it. One thing worries me though. Upon finding that first key I went directly to the Battlfield and did not drag the Newly found key into my inventory as seems to be the best case scenario so that I can use them in the other acts. Is this key lost to me forever or will i simply be able to collect the key once I exit the battlefield?

The keys stay where they are if you leave them there....

I wouldnt use the battlefield keys in later acts again... rather find that act's own battlefield keys.

Even though there are no evidence to support that it will cause problems in further acts, its still a risk you take.

Note: from act 2 onwards, there will be 6 battlefield keys & dungeons.

It won't answer any question but BFs should strictly be used to level up and getting potions and equipments (if you have the luck)

HEheheheheheheh you catch on quickly....

BF = trading ground and emergency XP

for those who LIKE the monotonous hack-n-slash offered in the BF, it will be fun... for those of us who like to have a purpose in life.... AVOID...

the only ill noticeable thing I have found about the battlfields is that If I say: Go to the first battlfield accesible after finding the first battlefield key. I can only access one entrance even though I can browse the whole map and once I have killed all the enemies than I am limited on the amount of experience I can rack up.

I have not tested this theory yet but im assuming that since they are randomly generated to an extent you could always exit the battlefield and re enter it to respawn so to speak the additional monsters you may or may not need for the extra experience.

You will find higher level BF keys in the main game which will open up the other BF dungeons.
The BF dungeons are randomly generated the first time you enter in each act. They remain the same after that and enemies do not respawn.

lol now that I don't plan on doing. So let me get this right. I enter the BF in the first act to which I know there are 4 sections:

1: The Merchants- Quests can be found here and the oppurtunity to purchase/Sell items.

2: one portion of the Forest area which includes an entrance.

3: another portion of the forest which again includes another entrance (and if this is your first trip will be locked)

4: yet another portion of the forest with yet another locked entrance on both the first and second trip here.

So if on my first run through i go through all 4 of those sections and take out the bad guys I will not be able to fight additional monsters here until the Second act?

I ask because upon obtaining the second BF key I went back still during act 1 and there bad guys had respawned where I had killed them all upon entering when I found the first BF key.

There are 4 BF keys in act 1 (2 level 1 keys). The level 2 key will open the first (if it is not already open) and second dungeons, while the level 3 key will open all three.

The ground level of each BF is the same in all games, though the BFs themselves are different in each act.

Are you sure enemies actually respawned? Perhaps they wandered around from an area you hadn't cleared the first time? If they were all back, there was a glitch somewhere.
