[color:"orange"]I tried Morrowind once for a few hours and got frustrated--I was stumbling around in the dark with no idea where to go. The combat wasn't great either iirc. Did I miss something?[/color]
I didn't last that long (maybe a couple hours). If I'm thinking of the right game, the readme file for the demo said it was in first person because that was so much more realistic, then with the combat system you held the right mouse button down to attack, and the longer you held the button, the harder you would hit.
Anyway, in Oblivion you can switch between 1st and 3rd person views, so I'll check it out if they release a demo that will run on Windows 98, or if it is still available some year when I build a new computer.
Actually, I might have to upgrade for DD2, depending on its requirements, so Oblivion should still be around (though I'll still want to check out a demo).
