In the early points of the game, a warrior with a mace =) The mace weapon skill is abominably overpowered. Just find the mace in the third(or fourth?) level of the catacombs(using the quick save & quick load trick for good dura), and you'll wipe through most stuff with ease for quite a while. There aren't any really strong maces ingame though =( In general I think warrior is strongest.
