The original English release was version 1.1; some budget re-release versions have been updated to 1.34. In the version of Beyond Divinity that was bundled with a copy of Divine Divinity a couple years ago, some copies of DD were updated and some were not. Anything produced recently should probably be updated, though depending of where you get the game they could have older inventory.
