I wouldn't call it a "small" error. It's actually kind of an distortion, I believe.
I'm kind of surprised that people aren't able to correctly spell names (apart from the problem tht they might not be able to memorize them at all, like I often do <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/badsmile2.gif" alt="" /> ) .
