maybe some of you have already saw it, but Handefood and i are working on an RPG card game. and cause you are all gamers, i wonder wich creatures do you like in a game? to name a few: Goblins, Skeletons, Rats, ...
Just post any ideas you have, and when we have enough monsters we will probbably make a poll to decide wich ones are most popular, so wich ones we should use most in our game. I hope a lot of people post (at least) their favorit Creature!
P.S.: if you would like to help us create the card game, check the rpg-forum (english section)

dragons, spiders, bears, snakes, trolls, giants, orcs(especially when they make stupid noises), werewolfs, wolfs, borgs, boars, when you close to water, sea serpents, whales, sharks, hmmmmmm the rest completely eludes me now
Your existence alone, is excuse enough for the creation of the entire universe… Il you my darling Jeanne-Dré

As evil as they get. Vampires, zombies, that kind of thing. But not the coventional kind. I think browsing through the Magic the Gathering card list could inspire.

That's a good idea. It's been so long since I played. I may have an old card list around somewhere. Do you know of any online?
What we'd really like is sets of monsters. Having a dungeon of kobolds, basilisks, bird-men, giant cats and zombies is just a weird mix.

From Torment onwards you can after clicking on a specific set select the sortable spoiler. You get the entire list of cards and you can click on each one of them to see the art. This one for instance is the Scourge list. If you spend some time browsing through all of these, I'm sure you'll get some good ideas.

Thanks Macbeth. I wonder if we would be violating any laws or copyrights if we used some of their art?

Yeah, probably. We might get away with it if we don't charge any money and we give the artists full credit.

Torment ? I remember my package of PS:T had a few cards in it ... not playable, though. A now defunct colllecting card game was the german "Darlk Force" (yes, it had an English title, because it was planned to sell this internationally), which was closely connected with DSA. You could actually see DSA monsters and characters within these cards. I have a decent collection, but it's died out since late 90s, so it's actually very hard to find some new cards nowadays. If you know some ...

Thanks Macbeth. I wonder if we would be violating any laws or copyrights if we used some of their art? I guess so, but that doesn't mean you can't be "inspired" by some of them, right?

Only monsters that live on land or those in the water, too ? Lakes, rivers, for example ?
Poisonous frog : "Oops, you stepped upon the most poisonous frog in the world ! By the way, it's one of the tiniest and most well-hidden froggs as well ..."
Bats : "These Bats are a real nightmare. Not only are they vampires preferring to fly around midnight, they also [nocando] on you from the heights ..."
Man-in-the-Ear : "This tiny fella crawls into your ear and tells you things you wanna hear - but not only this, but also some lies and calamities. Since he wants to be fed while living in your ear, he also tends to give you certain commands to go to the next shop and buy him some food ... or he'll turn you into a smurf."
Water-changing demon : "Everything this foul-mindes (and foul-handed) demon touches, will turn into something else ... like water turned into a glibbering jelly. You'll hate it when you wanted to wash your hands with it ..."
Were-Turkey : "Bitten by a Were-wolf, this turkey as rescued by an unsuspecting hunter. The hunter, however, was quite asonished as he had instead a wolf in his cage the next morning ..." [Based on a member of a different board who actually named himself "wereturkey" !)
Zombie-turkey : "Once upon a time ... a King was giving a thanksgiving feast, but suddenly, something moved ... the thought-to-be-dead turkey on the king's dinner table ..."

Poisonous frog : "Oops, you stepped upon the most poisonous frog in the world ! By the way, it's one of the tiniest and most well-hidden froggs as well ..." Ooh... That gives me an idea for swarms or monsters (like bugs). Were-Turkey : "Bitten by a Were-wolf, this turkey as rescued by an unsuspecting hunter. The hunter, however, was quite asonished as he had instead a wolf in his cage the next morning ..." [Based on a member of a different board who actually named himself "wereturkey" !) I like that! I never thought of it going that way. Have you heard of the werehuman?

By the way, we could really use a web host and web designer. It would be great to make a site that would get the attention of people other than just your friends. If anyone would like to take on either of both of these rolls, let us know. For those who are interested, a lot of the game design is happening here: Creating an RPG Card Game. Some of it is also happening in e-mail.

In DSA, there exists the infamous "Borbarad-Moskito", named after an extremely both powerful and evil magician.
This moskito sucks up an amount of experience points ...
