2 potions, 3 patients, you know the deal

Is there like another magic mirror in the game or another way to solve it, which i'll encounter later in the game (havent left first area yet), or do i simply have to chose who lives and who dies? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devil.gif" alt="" />

original game play: Yes, you have to choose.
Gamer ideas: Pickpocket one (lvl 2) after giving one the cure and have a spare flask for the 3rd -

If you have the pickpocket skill then you can get the potion back. If you don't then I wouldn't cure Dante's son because I don't think you get a reward.

I didn't cure the other male because he called me a bitch. I figured if he was that hateful then he could just die.

I would have chosen Dante's son to die - imagine that messy room - my mage was highly disgusted <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/suspicion.gif" alt="" />

two more questions though

when im put to jail (for going in ralph's bedroom, lets say), how do i escape? and where IS the jail im put in ? is it the one under the dwarven village? and last jail related question - where is the jail in which that cow butcher was put ? is it the same one you're thrown into if u commit a crime? cos i couldnt see him there

Your jail is in Ralph headquarters, east room, descend hatch there - escape? There is no key... If you can reload: Place one of your tellies into this cell BEFORE getting into trouble, anger Ralph, get caught then teleport yourself out and return whistling to collect your stuff in the chest in front of the cell.

btw, what jail am i put into if i get into that potion seller's private room in the merchants' area?

or for that matter, generally - is there some rule that connects the prison im getting into with the place in which the crime took place ?

Potion seller: Jail is Stormfist castle - not next to Dorian, one cell in the west sector.
How many jails do you need?
Ralph, castle, jail in Verdistis = 3 AFAIK in Rivertown
Dwarven village, Dwarven Halls = Dark Forest

As I said: I'm not a thief lvl 5... Some went into the shops with an open barrel and collected the stuff that was around.
About Ralph: I tried it with the same tellie method as with the alchemist, but I was out of luck

Reputation is -100? :O woah dude you have some serious problems there. You wanna loot people try the following - Make sure you are not carrying too much stuff first of all so that you dont get over burdened. Pick up and EMPTY barrel and put it into your inventory, walk into ANY shop open your inventory then open the barrel inside your inventory and drag items you wanna steal into the barrel. Then walk out of the shop and make sure no ones around open the barrel and put the items back into your inventory and sell them back to the merchant. Also if you want to relieve the merchant of the items he may be carrying try the pick pocketing skill.
The barrel trick also comes in handy when visiting the drawven king..cos everytime you enter his chambers they take all your stuff away. So best thing to do...stand in front of the guards and drag a barrel into the throne room from your inventory so that its inside. Then enter and put the barrel back in your inventory, put all the locked chests into your barrel and leave the place. Once outside unlock all the chests and sell the stuff

what store? why do they need a barrel? i just click on an item and then the shopkeeper adds it to the list and i buy it (I'm a wealthy freebooter <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" /> )

btw when u say your RL job is answering ppl's questions, u mean you work for larian now ?

-correction - PUTTING A BARREL IN YOUR INVENTORY AND DRAGGING LOCKED CHESTS INTO IT, WHILE IT'S STILL IN YOU INVENTORY

How about putting a bed in a chest in your inventory... then sleeping in it.

If you place an item in a container in your inventory, it is not considered stealing, so you can loot someone blind without them batting an eye. Taking items out of the chest is considered stealing, though, so make sure you are alone.

BTW, Kiya is a librarian, no official association with Larian.

yeah, but these things are basically bug exploiting, so i wouldn't use them to steal items i could otherwise buy, or items that i want only for their monetary worth

I'd use them in situations like, from what i understand, the dwarf king (havent met him yet) where you have to do it or there's no way you'd be able to open the chest, and that's just not right <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

also, i wouldn't use a trick like that to get an item / get into a place that i can get / get into later in the game

if a futere patch is designed, i'd think it would be nice if the aforementioned bugs would be fixed, and in addition in-game solutions to said problems would be created <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Qualified for university, chose to work in public libary - because of the members. I prefer to answer questions for people, who are coming out of own interest, not those who are forced to by studies or school.
