The conference room has been opened, and everyone is invited to attend.

BTW Lynn has graciously agreed to post the opening remarks, so ... if you want to meet and greet other attendees before the program starts, you'd better do it now!

Looks like we bought whatever we wanted to while shopping. Hope we get to take everything with us!

Sorry. I didn't know you all still wanted to shop. I can retract the post and ask Lynn to wait, if you want me to.

What say ye all?

I have to go to a birthday now. If Hypatia comes back, just take my character with you. Kiya, you can even make me 'talk' if it makes sense.
DQueene being very trusting of Kiya & Hypatia only.

Oh how funny! I've not been around so much because my birthday was this weekend and I've had quite a bit to do. Please drag me shopping with you. Don't be shy.

Thank you, I had a lovely birthday. My Sweet Faboo made reservations at my favorite seafood restaruant and then we went to a little shop and played Magic for a while and he gave me some beautiful deck holders for my favorite Magic decks.

For the Story, perhaps we could be magically changed into costumes of our choice upon being sent to the Divinity world? low level armor and weapons for those who want them, something like that. I'd hate to arrive in street clothes, might really scare the natives. Our watches and other things dissappear because they would be out of place. Does that sound like anything we want to do?

I like it. On the other hand, can I keep my TV remote control? And my electric toothbrush?

Oh! And my credit card!

lol! Say, I seem to be on a different schedual if you need to move me along with the rest of you please feel free to do so. I'll log in when I can and add my characters actions taking in to account anything you had to do to keep things moving right along.

One other thing if I may be so bold, maybe we should decide before hand what character class we will be upon arrival. Like Warrior, Mage, Rogue (do we want to add others?). If we are sticking with those three Hypatia would be a Mage/Rogue. If we can be anything we want I'd be a Mystic/Healer. See what I mean?

Thank you Kiya.

Good idea, Hypatia. Could I be an imp? Or, should I be a human mage/thief? I can't decide.

In NWN I was a rogue/paladin = very effective, though not exactly puritan RPG rules
Kiya
Though I prefer mage/cleric/rogue combos. Do we have to decide? I would like to play freely, without all those class restrictions - if possible. Maybe we need a poll;)?

I don't see why we would exclude races. Just try not to be too powerful. We may want to wait a bit before bringing in the dragons. (sorry)

RPG rules are just a good starting place Kiya. The best games are when people remember just that and allow for some flexibility.

[color:"yellow"]@Hypatia If you'll trust Kiya and I, we wil take you along with us and [color:"yellow"] Kiya knows if my character is holding up the group to drag me along too.

I'm assuming that I'll be an elf with fighter/mage abilities that will one day evolve into a dragon. Of course, that might take awhile & learning how to use our abilities might be interesting.

That is a question - how will we learn how to do things? Any ideas anyone?

Of course I trust you two. As I said, just drag me along. That way since I seem to be half way around the world from many of you I won't hold things up too much.

As for learning to do things, that'd be a time/experience thing.
I don't know how that would work really. We will probably be responsible for keeping our egos in check so as not to overpower the story.

Sorry, to diappoint you, DQueene, it will be me holding up the group cause I have to examine everything closely. I drove my RPG group nuts with that - no joke.
Kiya
But if we 3 are planning to be the invincible Josie, Succubus and Iona, we could drag each other away from interesting spots. Have I told you that my Bermuda bag contains ropes? Ropes from the Easteregg area?

No - I'm here in the US too. I just don't have two little ones who need care. I wanted Nero to write too - but I don't think he's decided to.
The good thing about the work week is that hopefully if we can get on in the morning we might all actually be online at the same time.

[color:"yellow"]Kiya We'll be the invincible female warriors of the new world!

Learning: by books that enchant you (per mistake, if I chant then), by cursed wells, brooks, walls, shrines. By finding teachers, orbs, enchanted stones, statues etc.
