The DD save editor does not work for BD (there were quite a few changes to the file format between games, due to the 2 main characters and summoning dolls in BD vs 1 main character in DD, different NPCs and creatures, different skill system, etc).

From your Inventory files topic post;
[color:"orange"]Durring the second necromancer quest, in lady Moreena's room the chest that is supposedly containing the crystal fragment and other gems has only a manuscript and nothing else.[/color]

Here are the inventory files (download, 17KB) from a save just before opening the chest Sir Patrick stashed his gems in. Both the crystal fragment and the gems trigger something when first picked up, so they are still in the chest. Save the game in the room, do the inventory swap, empty the chest, save the game and restore your original inventory files before leaving the room.

For some reason the save upstairs in the inn locks up trying to load, even though a save a minute earlier downstairs works. I never had any problems the first time around reloading a save upstairs. That may or may not have anything to do with the inventory files, but I'll try it again in a bit and edit this post afterwards.

EDIT: Heading upstairs, killing the ghosts, opening the room door, then going back downstairs to save does not help. It locks up in about the same place. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/question.gif" alt="" />
If you have any problems with the inventory files above, try these ones (18KB) from a save before I went upstairs for the final time. I don't think the fact that I had not killed the ghosts yet in this save will make any difference with the inventory.

Unless you have problems with both inventory sets, I'm not going to bother trying to track down whatever is causing the saves after going upstairs to lockup when loading.
