I heard you can put multiple charms in a 1 slotted item, they say you have to click a couple of times to bring up more slot vendors and put them in each one when i click once, it opens but when i click again it closes, what am i doing wrong?

The multiple charm pane exploit was in fact fixed in the patch. You can use DAD's item editor or iZakaroN's SaveEditor (also on Kiya's site on the item editor page, with a description) to achieve the same effect.
