Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Suggestions Wiki about the divinty universe?

Now this forum is very helpful, but sometimes it is hard to find the right information. I know I had a hard time to find or recollect what the name was of demon dimension(Nemisis) where the ranaar live. During my search I thought that it would be extremely helpful if there was a wiki page of the divinity universe. But then I thought "Why not an entire wikipedia about the divinity universe". You can split it up per game, race description, mission walk troughs, maps, story ... .

Now I don't expect the folks of Larian to put there time into this (I am sure forum member will help build the wiki (i got some time in the next couple of weeks)). But maybe they can provide the hosting of the wiki.

Most of the work to be imported in the wiki is already done in the sticky pages and the <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> guide.

the wiki has a couple advantages over the forum.

1. People are more likely to search a wiki then a forum, this should reduce the reappearing question that have been answered 100rds of times. And they can still ask it on the forum if it is not in it.
2. Standardisation and concentration of information

so what do you guys think?

It's a great idea, and I'd love to help, but right now, I really really don't have the time. Perhaps later this month.

I made a little edit to it (I added the You are a servant of the Divine One ...) next week I got some free time to add to it.

but you can also add links to other keywords etc..

I am sure there is a wiki page about it. But this is only a wiki page. i don't think that the general wiki will accept things like "the divine one". That's why I am talking about an wiki server all about the divinity universe.

And we should also be thinking about expanding the wiki page that I posted. (compare that to the morrowind page and its shameful.)

Yep the server is the main problem. As for the software: Jesus i didn't think there was that much choice <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

neither did I <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />, I first did a google, found TWiki first, looked at their site, looked good.
And I also know of TikiWiki, cause Open Graphics project have a page on it, and looks like OGD

and as for now, I just searched for a free host, which doesn't has ads, and supports php and perl. And now i'm uploading TWiki to it. seeing if I can get anything to work <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

give mediawiki a try. as far as i can tell that is used on wikipedia.

So basically a wiki of Divinity Universe would look like that, but then like... well, full of info. I added 1 short pages about divine divinity and one about beyond divinity.

I just filled in my request for a media wiki. So should we mirror or use yours?

doesn't matter much, where did you request your media wiki?
I got to say that elwiki looks nice too, cause once your site grows to over 10 pages of content, they will register a .com, .net, or .org domain for the wiki site, at no cost .
Only got to live with google ads to the right side. (Tough firefox, adblock blocks them from being showed.)

By the way, I found out that there is no Wikipedia page about <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> . Only for <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> .

Does anyone have the nerves to build such a page up ?
