I don't know a thing about the game but ... does it have some sort of config tool accompanied ? Or a config file you can read and edit ? I think that could bring in a clue.

However, suchg error messages sometimes stem from a totally different sorce, originally, and have been cumulated or so, just like a "silent post". So, I can't really tell.

You could perhaps try if there are drivers you could update ? Or the game does an copy protection check (burners, emulators etc.) ?
