Do what I did - don't even bother finishing the main storyline. However, just enjoy the game. Play different types of characters, try to roleplay, play with various restrictions, etc.

I've been playing Divine Divinity for around 300 hours now, because I try playing all sorts of characters. Not to mention this game is always really fun if you don't play it for a few months and come back.

That's the thing about open-ended role playing games. It's not a test of skill to see how quickly and easily you can beat the main storyline. Especially in Divine Divinity, if you use all the tricks available to you, the game is insanely easy- but if you're creative, you can create lots of fun for yourself.

I've always thought that a measure of skill for a true RPG fan is not how well he can beat games, but how much time he can get out of each game.

(Now if only I could find Beyond Divinity in stores somewhere...)
