I have been playing Bloodlines but got stuck in the warehouse, trying to get out of it without being slaughtered by hundreds of bad dudes, very frustrating!...will try again but have moved onto The Bard's Tale which i picked up for a meagre £2.97 and it's a DVD Rom to boot!!

Damn, I havn't seen any mobs that huge yet in Redemption but I have been ganged up on a few times so far. I hate when it happens because the combat system turns into rugby football.

I've been reading more about Bloodlines and a couple people mentioned it's clunky too. Guess they improved it some or are you playing solo missions which doesn't make it seem as bad?

Guess I was a little too harsh on Redemption also. I see it now as one of those games that tries to do a lot of different things and some features lack because of it. If you could solo through this game and they balanced out the enemies for a non-party combat, this game would totally rock!

I'm in Vienna now and playing the game more like an adventure/action style and really getting into it. Even at the end of Prague where areas opened up more, the fighting wasn't that bad because you had more room.

It's still a RPG because I get to collect gold and upgrade my equipment. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" />

Edit:

I guess I shouldn't complain because a game is a game.

I did just finish Darkstone and Redemption is far more interesting. Sure, some of the battles get out of hand but I can deal with it more than the huge battles in Wizardry 8. The camera system is actually good, compared to the limited views in Summoner.

So games are games and Redemption is a good one at that. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

Edit:

Better yet, instead of wanting to solo through Redemption. It would be cool if they just gave you one party member. It would definitely cut down on that cluttered feeling.

You would solo Prague alone, then when you entered Vienna a new party member would join you. Upon leaving Vienna that person would stay and someone else would join you in London. Then you do the samething for New York and this would keep Wilhem, Serena and Erik in the game.

Now that would be so cool.
