Also, if you were annoyed when you got killed by mudcrabs, I think you may have been going the wrong way about it, no offence. If you like combat, play as a Nord, Orc or Redguard, choose strength and endurance, and blade, axe or blunt. Level one fighter characters that fit this description should have no problem whatsoever knocking down crabs. Trust me.
The reason I got killed by mudcrabs if I remember correctly was 1. I couldn't see anything. 2. I couldn't hit anything.
if you would like to 'fast travel' in Morrowind, the coc "name of the location" command can come in pretty usefull, it is the cheat/command i used most.
