I would like to also mention that since the game is about character builds. There is a lot of focus on items, equipment and unique gear.
Finding a good balance keeps the game interesting. You'll come to the point where you have so much junk, it's time to decide what to keep and what not to keep. There is only one save, so it is a killer when making choices.
How many charms will you keep in your inventory. Too many and you won't have room for loot. You'll find yourself teleporting back to town every five seconds. I'm sure this isn't a problem once you are a high level who disregards most dropped items.
Right now I am hurting for more room in my stash. I was three levels away from having the strength to equip some of my better items. After I leveled once, I added strength and changed weapons to add additional strength. That's because I havn't found one descent druid weapon, so might as well take advantage of that extra slot.
By doing this, it allowed me to equip a secondary shield and free up space in my stash. It also allowed me to wear a four socket gothic plate I had, taking advantage of runes, saphires and rubies. Now I have more space for more junk.
This could also hurt you.
With the socket items I added mana/life and regeneration which is great for now. Since I found a better resistance armor I want to change but this item has no sockets. This will cause me to lose that additional boost with the sacrifice to raise resistance.
How do I work around this, is to wait two more levels until I get the strength normally with stats. Then I can change out the strength weapon with a wand that gives me a huge mana bonus. Now I have more mana and better resistance but I lose out on other things.
Besides the character's stats and skills, this is what the whole game will focus around. Finding a good balance in your gear and you will be changing it constantly.
