Hi.I thought that DD was the best rpg game of all time (have been playing rpg since typed games [standing in a field west of a white house]).I have started BD three times and have uninstalled it three times, have not finished act1. I have decided to try the game a fourth time but really need a saved game for the end of act 1,I do not fancy playing act 1 again. Please help.

Here is my save at the end of act 1 (2MB, temporary link). Drag and drop the explosives from the hero's misc inventory onto the forge (the only area that gets highlighted when you move the mouse cursor over it).

Alternately, you could start a new game and hex teleport to the stairs at the end of the act.

Actiontrip.com's Beyond Divinity Cheats - starting a new game with stronger characters

Teleporting anywhere (via hex editor)

Hex editing - gold, experience, stat/skill points

Inventory files - to get the crystal bag and skeleton summoning doll, which is the only doll that can equip a ranged weapon (crossbow)

Hi Raze many thanks for your reply.
I have two probs for you,in DD one could select a skill/spell and right click to use it:how do you do this in BD? .
Secondly about potions,in DD one could program ones potions by using f1 etc and click f1 etc to give a potion to your Hero:how do you do this in BD?.Thanks

The method of setting hotkeys is pretty much the same as in DD, but the interface has changed a bit.
To the immediate right of each character portrait (in the top right corner of the screen) there is a column of 3 icons, for the primary skill (left hand graphic / left click trigger), secondary skill (right hand graphic / right click trigger) and potions (bottle graphic). To assign a hotkey to a spell, talent or potion you click on the corresponding icon, then in the menu that appears hover the cursor over the desired icon and press the function key you want to assign to it.

If you use a potion hotkey it will only have the lead character use a potion, so if both are taking damage you might have to pause, switch characters an use another potion.

If you right click on a character's portrait you can set them to aggressive, so they will automatically attack if an opponent is in sight (though the lead character always remains under your control). This works great if your secondary character is an archer, but at least near the start of the game you probably wouldn't want a melee character rushing off after every opponent.

I kept playing my hero as a crossbow archer for most of the game, then switched to a bow. Playing again I'd make the hero the warrior and have the DK use a bow (his armour goes up with his level, so I could neglect strength requirements and focus more on agility).
See the math appendix of the Beyond Divinity Strategy Guide.

The manual is included in the game, or through a printed booklet, or included on the CD or DVD-rom (depending on which release you are playing with) as a pdf-file.

Go to www.replacementdocs.com

Great site, has lots of game manuels for free download. Not sure if it has a manuel for BD, but worth checking out anyway.
