I'm tending toward not leveling up.

Instead, I think we could watch our skills, spell capabilities, riches, political powers, and so forth. To me, character levels should vary with age, situation, maturity, and infirmity.

For instance, if I was drunk or sick, I shouldn't be able to perform up to my best capabilities. And, if I practice a lot with my dagger, then I should eventually be dubbed a "master" with that weapon -- as long as I keep practicing.

With BeeGee's character, I intend to coax lockpicking skills until I can pick any lock in the world (except for the super-magical quest-related ones, of course). That should take time and constant practice.

Yeah, I think there are too many different interpretations of leveling. In old AD&D if you ever reached a level 16 you'd be a level 100 in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" />. I think we did well with the guards and the mage. It wasn't easy, and we did get hurt (BG's head & Kiya over extending herself magically and so on).

The seat of a wooden stool is about the same size as my face. I know this because Lynn introduced us. My nose will never be the same. Thankfully, I passed out from the impact, and slept through the initial shock and pain.

[color:"blue"]@lynn[/color] I unlocked the door to your dungeon jail cell, but you thought I was one of the guards coming to get you. You hit me in the face with a wooden stool and knocked me out.

Then, DQ came in to calm you down (while Kiya cleaned me up), but DQ was covered with blood, so you said "don't touch me". Kiya will clean DQ (hopefully).

You can talk to DQ or Kiya, or you can leave the cell and meet anyone in the group that you wish. Some of them are probably checking out the other dungeon rooms/cells for loot or prisoners or guards.

We shouldn't stay in the dungeon for too long, though. I'm sure other guards are around and they might have the "Wanted Poster", too.

I updated your character page on my website. Check out the new buttons I added for Items, Potions, Spells, Armor, and Weapons.

[color:"yellow"]@ALL[/color] I also added a map of the Double Raven Castle grounds (one level up), if we need to go that way. However, I suspect that there are tons of orcs, demons, bandits, and mages upstairs -- and with a bounty on our heads, I don't think we'll "blend in" to the crowd.

So, I think we should go back down the way we came in, and sneak away.

Bronthion (who was responsible for all the great - and some evil! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devil.gif" alt="" /> - side quests in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" />) suggests the following:
