I don't blame companies for trying to protect their products either, but the tactics used by starforce are questionable to say the least. And although there is no proof that it could damage hardware (I am sure it can) it's not entirely healthy for your system. This is also the reason why I haven't reinstalled <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> (or trackmania (such a shame for such a fun game)) after my yearly format.

And don't get me started on the compatibility iissues of starforce on a 64 bit system or how you are going to lay this game under Windows Vista. IMHO a protection that is restricts you in OS choice, is a bad protection.

I rather have a simple serial key activation over internet(no private data will be send only the key) and such then a buggy starforce malware driver. Because believe starforce IS malware.
