I am currently running the "Windows Vista Business" 32 bit version for 3 or 4 weeks
i'll try to get the 64 bit business version on monday
on topic i heard from a friend that they are dropping the vista only 1 computer thing....you can transfer it as many times as you want as opposed to what has been said before
however i can't prove this yet, because i just heard it from a friend and i don't want to get flamed... but i thought i might mention it and entertain you with the thought of what might happen or already happened
i'll find out more on monday
in any case windows xp only supports up to 4 gig of memory
vista supports more then 4 gig so there you have it
also once they fix or if they ever will fix the flaw in the 64 bit vista
then 64 bit will be completely protected for vista
i have 2 sticks of 512 ddr 1 dual channel
and when i was on xp, my battlefield 2142 online game with 64 people
and the world tearing itself apart heh......well i had excellent frame rates
now when i play battlefield 2142 online game with 64 on vista.....my frame rates took a significant hit because the os takes more memory then windows xp
but if you buy more memory then this shouldn't be a problem
and as far as memory goes
its hard to find dirt cheap and i mean "dirt cheap" memory bundled together so you can have dual channel....... but you can find single package memory cheap 1 time deal offers....good luck getting that dual channel though
anyway i like vista...
besides the fact i have to use unoffical drivers for my video card which works very great still....i miss the offical ones though
no printer driver support for my printer
and support for anti virus software is an all time low
