Actually, there was a bug (fixed since the 1.40 patch) that caused the act 1 level 2 BF dungeon to be empty. I forgot about it until your followup post, which jogged my memory and I checked the patch log. You would have had to install the patch before entering the BF for the first time for it help in your game.
