I don´t know.

I´d rather not see the Larians playing "copycats" too much.

So about monsters from the various blends of mythologies:
As an inspiration: yes
As 1:1 copy: rather not, please.

A monster with the multi-head feature akin to the Hydra from the Greek realm would make for a great vista, though. And probably an interesting challenge w/ regards to combat tactics.

But hard to convicingly animate. And balance, too, on the other hand.

Another issue depends of course, whether the new game will have us re-visiting Rivellon again, in fact?
If so, another negative for real world lore creatures.

What i´ll be prefering then is more originality and creativity in the monster´s department.

If flyers are in, manticores would be good. Dangerous from a distance and up close, and they can fly.

Hm.
What is the reference you have this from?
`You sure you mean a Manticor?
IIRC this is a huge lion with a male human face and a scorpion´s tail originating from Asia Minor´s lore. No flying abilities as far as i know.

Maybe you were more aiming for the Gryphon or Griffin of the ancient Greek?
Two forms i know of:
- A lion with an eagle´s wings.
- The same, but also borrowing the head from the eagle sample.
