Ok I have a quick question. I got this game and tried to install it. I get it all installed and go to play it and BAM! It wont work. Basically when you double click on the shortcut the splash page comes up and it just freezes and I have to go into task manager and close it becuase it is not responding. I installed it on a friends computer while I was on vacation and it worked fine. The only issue I have noticed with the install is that when the EA Registration portion comes up the registration thing crashes but I dont know why...

If anyone has any ideas let me know,

-J

Morrowind crashed for me until I updated the video driver even though the dang game was older than the computer and video card. And do you have the up to date directX version?

Reinstall is usually the first thing I think of when a game doesn't work( particularly ones downloaded off of the internet). If you still have this prob, does any error message or report appear or is made?

I have reinstalled about a dozen times...ah gaming god's why do you spite me! I have been faithful! I am all pasty and white since I never go outside!!!

Ok seriously...I tried finding the best drivers for my VC but when I got halfway through installation it asked me if I wanted to remove or uninstall and well I dont want to break my computer.

I have an nvidia card its a WinFast PX7900 GTX Extreme. I just downloaded the driver again Ill see if it works...

I got the game too, it worked fine, but after uninstalling and reinstalling i got this strange sound in the intro-movies and during campaign-movies/cutscenes, but during the game itself i had no problems at all.(this was with my old computer)
Maybe if someone you know got the Witch-Expansion, you can try if that one works.

Ok I am completely stumped...I tried the video drivers again but it still wont work. I tried to find out if my version (6.14.0010.8391 (English) was correct but I couldnt find what actual version I was downloading just that it was the newest one.

I put a trouble ticket in with EA like 4 days ago but havent gotten a response yet. Any ideas? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

Perhaps if you posted on the forum of a fansite you might get a helpful answer.

So I figured it out...you just have to tell the game.dat file (in task manager) to only use one processor the game wasnt made for a dual core...now if tech support could only have told me that...idiots....
