After being late for check-in because of a "baggage problem" that ended with a few members of airport personell becoming luggage Nero arrives at the hotel and gasps "Hello good sir I am here for the conference..." "Ah yes he replied the select meeting you are to attend has already begun...I will have someone take your things to your room, and here is your key." With that I gave the bellboy a five spot (which confused him being US bills and all) and sprinted up to the meeting..."HELLO all how are you doing...? Sorry Im late, I had troubles with my bags...but it wont happen again I...took care of it." <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devil.gif" alt="" /> "DQueen would you mind if I join your table...?"

Viper stumbled in and he just saw Nero vanishing into another room, running like the wind. "Damn am I that late??"

I gave my invitation to the deskman and he gave me my key, instructions as to where the meeting is held and he let the bellboy take my baggage up to my room.

I went to the meeting room, appologized for my lateness and went sitting next to Hyp

I hurried and made myself presentable.
then i went towards the conference room where were many ppl.
i wonder if i will recognize any1?
i've seen a picture of kiya once, so mayb her?

the only disadvatage is that i'm the only one who did this but i guess the rest will follow me later.

"Aaachhh, that was nice," I patted my belly, took a sip of wine and then had my first look around. I noticed a young guy walking up to the buffet and saw...
"Ooops, I had totally forgotten about that, girls. Have you all still got those cards? We're supposed to put our names on it and wear them, so we're recognizable... Aw, I hate my Bermuda bag... everything in there seems to vanish..."
I delved into the depths of my bag and finally found one card, a bit greasy from the half-eaten choc bar, a bit crumpled because my favourite book had crushed it. I took it out, pressing it flatly on the table.
"Gah, this will have to do. Don't look at me like that, I know I'm a bit unorganised..."
Thankfully the ballpoint pen hadn't found its way through the hole in the lining completely, I could kidnap and lead it to its original destiny. I carefully drew my name in clear bold printing letters and held it up.
"Can you read it? Hypatia, DQueene? Yes, it's a bit lopsided, but can you read it at some distance?"
Both nodded and I carefully pinned it on my sweater, pricking myself of course. "That's exactly the reason I don't wear brooches," I sighed, sucked at my bleeding finger and took another curious look around.

I laughed up at the tall young man who came up to sit with us: "Hi, you're Nero aren't you? I'm so glad you made it! I was getting worried when there was only the four of us here at first; but it looks like there will be quite a few of us at this meeting after all."

When Kiya reminded me of the name tag, I grumbled, still laughing: "No... no... food first, especially ice cream!" I scooped up the rest of ice cream as politely as I could, and trust me I didn't spill a drop! "Now, where did I put my pen?" I dug around in the front pocket of my backpack and found no fewer than 10 pens, 3 permanent markers and 3 highlighters (blue, pink, and yellow). Choosing a permanent marker, I quickly printed my name on my name tag. Then I noticed it was way too small to be seen very far: "Damn! Oops sorry all!" I blushed and scratched through my name and then grabbed a red permanent marker and wrote [color:"red"]DQUEENE[/color] in bold letters.

At that point, I felt Nero tugging on my sleeve and heard Hypatia smothering a laugh. I looked up to see what was going on and spied Kiya's face, and covered my mouth to stop from laughing too hard. My eyes had little tears in them and I kind of hiccuped a little: "Uh, Kiya, uh..." I had to stop for a little breath. "You know that pen you had? It's..." I couldn't continue, I really was laughing so hard, tears were rolling down my cheeks by now. Hypatia and Nero were in the same condition. I kept trying to say... "Sorry..." but it was almost impossible. Just then a young man walked up to stand by Hypatia. I waved my hand hi at him, because I still couldn't speak. He must have thought he'd wandered into an insane asylum, poor thing.

Through my tears, I saw that the older guy with the long curly hair, who had been here before us, jump up and rush toward us with something in his hand...

I finished eating everything on my plate. "Delicious! I'm stuffed!" I thought. When I looked around for a place to put my empty plate, I noticed that quite a few more people had arrived. "I hope there are enough chairs for everyone. If not, I'll be a gentleman and let someone else have my chair."

That's when I saw Kiya put her finger in her mouth, with an expression that clearly said, "Ouch! I've hurt my finger." I noticed that the marker that she had used to write on her nametag had leaked onto her hand, and a tiny little smudge of it had found the corner of her lip, too.

"Oh, no!" I whisper-yelled as I jumped to my feet. My plate and glass decided that they had suddenly been blessed with the ability to fly and tumble, but their blessing was short-lived. I grabbed my medical kit from my backpack and quickly pulled out one of those wet-wipe thingies and offered it to Kiya, while performing a mime act with my other hand indicating "Wipe the corner of your mouth with this. ... No, the other corner! ... And your hand, too. ... No, the other hand. ... See the ink??"

So I am sitting there eating a huge lobster tail(half-demons love lobster) and I see BG from across the room...He stands up wildly knocking everything over breaking his nice crystal goblet...then I realize in my over eaten half dazed state that he is talking to Kiya because she was a little tipsy and had been writing on herself again. So I took the wetnap that BG had given her and cleaned her up...someone had to do it...shortly thereafter I had to take off my belt and use it to tie Kiya to the chair so that she wouldnt fall over, she was resisting though so I held off...damn humans cant hold their booze...Kiya tends to deny help...

i didn't understand what was going on..
the strangest things were happening..
some guy started to tie kiya down..
knowing kiya, that wasn't a wise decision of him to make <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/badsmile2.gif" alt="" />.
but that was not all, 2 other women that sat at the same table were laughing very loud (ouch my ears <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />)
i thought: "are these really the ppl i met on the forum??

and I walked towards the table to introduce myself.

"Oh. Hee, hee. I'm so sorry Kiya. It's not you, really. It's just that when I've had a bit too much to drink I start to think I'm funny. Worse I start to tell jokes. When I'm not quite relaxed I know better but...Oh, somebody stop me. Hee.....

I dissolve into more laughter. Then attempt to write Hypatia on a name tag. After rummaging around in my purse for quite some time, giggling I manage to come up with a gold glitter pen thus guarenteeing that no one will be able to read the name tag. This will not do at all. Finally I find a nice pedestrian black pen and get my name tag written along with a little self portrait to one side, which I then promptly draw a mustashe on before falling into helpless laughter.

i started to think that it maybe would be a better idea to introduce myself later, because it looked like the women had gotten completely crazy.

but something inside of me made shure i kept walking and before i knew it i stood in front of them:

"hey, i'm jvb, nice to meat you"

"Good evening, everyone. Does everyone speak english? I can't wait to hear the voices behind the words I've been reading on the forums. I'm BeeGee, by the way." I pointed to my nametag.

Oops! In my haste to get to the buffet, I must have written it upside down. Boy, do I feel embarassed. I quickly try to divert everyone's attention from my ridiculous nametag, by saying "I need another drink. Can I get anyone something from the bar?"

Oh! That reminds me, hee,hee..

An atom walks into a bar and says, "has anyone seen an electron? I've lost my electron?"

Asks the bartender, "are you sure?"

Replies the atom, "I'm positive."

Ah hahahahaha.


"Oh, sorry to seem so rude, Hi jvb I'm hypatia."

I smiled up at the earnest young man: "jvb, my prince! I am so glad to finally have a chance to meet you!" I glanced around to make sure everyone had on a nametag. "You 'know' everyone, right? You didn't have to come very far to get here did you?"

Here have a seat, I gestured to the chair by Nero. "Hypatia's been telling us some cute jokes! Do you know any?"

And, just because I can't leave well enough alone:

A noted biologist, who had been studying little green frogs in a swamp, was stumped. The frog population, despite efforts at predator control, was declining at an alarming rate. A chemist at a nearby college came up with a solution: The frogs, due to a chemical change in the swamp water, simply couldn't stay coupled long enough to reproduce successfully. The chemist then brewed up a new adhesive to assist the frogs' togetherness, which included one part sodium. It seems the little green frogs needed some monosodium glue to mate.

"Hypatia," I was giggling from her jokes. "You know, if anyone has to explain these jokes, it's going to be you! Not me, nope, you have to! Okay?"

"hello all, I know I've been silent till now but I tend to observe people first. I love all your jokes though. Can I buy you all a round??"

"Bartender !! Can you give these people something to drink?? and double Kiya's drink <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />"

So when is this meeting gonna take place, A few more Duvels and I won't be able to keep myself awake anymore

"Hi, Viper! It's great to finally meet you too." I got up and walked with him to the bar. "You don't have to pay for these, you know. All part of the convention price."

I smiled at the bartender, "Make mine a spring water, I can't drink very much or I would be sleeping before we even start the meeting!"

"Here Viper, I'll carry these two and mine. Can you handle the rest?"

Hello mme namme, *sowwol* Hi I'm CarPd13m, or Draghermosran! The food is great, excuse me I have lot's of eating to do. I smiled, and ate another appelflap.

"Hi, so you are Draghermosran ... am I saying that name right?"

I offer my hand for a handshake.

"I'm BeeGee, by the way. Can I get you a drink while you fill your plate with food?"
