I completed the game yesterday afternoon, and I have a question about the ending. The Divine One shoots the Sword Of Lies into the crevice, but isn't that moot? The Lord Of Chaos had already jumped into the baby, so the sword would just be a regular sword, wouldn't it?
Now my main question is this. The Divine One takes out a dagger and it looks like the baby is going to be stabbed with it, and then the screen blackens. Later, you can see Zandalor and Ahru standing on a hill in the distance while your character walks out from the Dungeon. Does Divine Divinity pull a Diablo, where your character gets corrupted and lets the baby live?
Will any more of this vague ending be explained in Beyond Divinity, or will I have to wait for Divine Divinity 2 to come out(and will it even be the same character, or will it be a new character out to kill the Divine One and save the world?)?
