No the sport does not kill. Bad treatment against the animals kills.

I had 2 dogs, an afghan dog (during 14 years) and a saluki dog (during 10 years).
They used to do races with other dogs and they loved the races.

In France, there is no bets for the dog races and no money for the owner of the dog who wins the race.
The dog only gets a trophee and presents.

These dogs are shaped for running and hunting.
In France, hunting with a dog is forbidden so the dog can only run after a fake rabbit just for fun in a race.
The dogs are very proud when they win a beauty contest or a race.
Maybe some people can't believe that, but i know what i am talking about and i know very well this kind of dogs.

I will not sign a petition against dog races because it is completely stupid.
But i will sign all the petitions against bad treatments for all kinds of animals.
