Cruelty to animals is awful and i think these people should be deadly punished for what they do.

I can't understand, in several states in the United States, it is forbiden to sell and eat "foie gras" for protecting ducks and gooses against bad treatments but nothing is done against the dog owners who torture their animals.

With Foie Gras you cannot make what you can earn for one dograce. I'm talking about millions of dollars .

I am going to give you an exemple.
In France cycling races are very popular but a lot of racing cyclists use to take drugs for winning the races.
You could say that the cycling sport is bad for health and that it must be banned.
Or you could say that the the cycling sport is good for health and only the cyclists who take drugs have to be banned.

Those cyclists choose for the drugs themselves, they are not forced to use it. The dogs are forced to run, or they die.

I never said to the people, don't sign the petition, i just said that I will not sign it.
Keep signing if it is your own choice.

At least one thing we agree on.

Please don't say that i do not look further than my own country, it is not fair.

When you only say "In France this" and "in France that" you don't look further then your own country.

Back to the doggies.

Greyhounds, afghans, salukis, galgos, barzoïs, deerhounds, irish wolfhounds, whippets, etc, can live in a small house or a flat but they deadly need a lot of exercise.

Everyday at least 1,5 hour for walking.
One or two times by week, they need to run or to practice a sport.
The sport could be agility or racing.

Not true, in fact those hounds have a very lazy nature, and the walks don't have to be 1.5 hour per day, they are as happy if you walk them for 30 minutes. And a lot of these dogs have injuries that came from intensive racing. I'm not saying that races for fun should be banned, some friends from the Greyhound forum still do that. But racing for money and the big bucks, makes the dog invalid for the rest of his life.
And every member of that forum claims that their Greyhound of Galgo or Whippet or Barzoi is a very lazy dog, are they all liars? Or do they have no idea what they are talking about?

I'm pretty sure that in your country dogs are properly taking care of, but in Spain and the USA is racing still a big bucks sport, where dogs still die or be tortured if they loose. Those races should be banned, not the ones for fun. And the petition was only about those races.
