It's from Harry Potter, Alrik. In the third book a monster called a bogart is introduced. It's a multiform, which manifests into the one it attacks whorst fear. The way to beat it is with laughter so you imagine it as funny as possible and do a spell with the madical word ridiculous. If done good enought the bogart goes away.
The films might be silly (I have a hard time NOT seeing them as silly to be honest), but the books (at least the first three or four) weren't.
