I guess you found Janus...
The game does start to get easier as it progresses. However, you can choose a handicap, if you wish (avoid certain equipment, stop distributing stat or skill points, etc).
Can't stop addicted. Stat points, loot and killing monsters. I spread mine evenly. Most rpg you don't need to give points to life but this one I started finding better drops after I started awarding my points evenly.
I started collecting charms to use when I had better equipment, but then decided not to use them. I found a sword with Frost on it (similar to the Freeze spell, but ignores the target's resistance, so it always works), but it made fights so boring I stopped using it within a minute.
I am putting all my charms, jewels and rings along with 1 million in gold in a chest. I thought maybe I would post it somewheres as a starter kit. Whats the name of that sword. I will put it in my chest.
The problem with games where the enemies scale directly with your level is that if you have a problem with a particular opponent or situation, you can not just avoid that area until you are stronger.
You should not have to. Most opponents in the these games have way to kill them.
Once you figare that out you can allways kill them. In diablo 1 The first time I went against diablo I died 20 times but after I killed him once I never had a problem. The trick is to not avoid them but to learn how to kill them.
If you are not sure where you picked the flowers up, they may be from the castle. When Janus asks you to pick flowers for Leila, there are several there, but she only takes one.
I noticed them after I got the vase at the beginning of dark forest. I think I picked them up there in the burial chambers, I was using teleport or whatever it is called to steal things from the tombs that was locked.
To set a hotkey for potions, you should just have to open the potion menu by clicking on the potion icon in the interface at the bottom of the screen, hover the mouse cursor over a potion icon (minor restoration potions, for example) and press one of the function keys (F1-F9,F11,F12 : IIRC F10 can not be assigned). This should work the same as assigning hotkeys to skills or weapons.
Thanks I was trying to do it through options.
Where are you now, exactly? Are you on the first level where you escape and get your stuff back, or the next level?
Third level I think. work your way to the top of the dungion area. there is a room with three levers in it. right above that it is all black, but I could see red dots that meant enemies. I pulled the levers and could not find what they opened so I thought maybe you had to pull them in a certain order. clicked on one again and my mage started walking toward the right side wall, went through but now i am stuck. There is a door there."in the black area" Do not have time tonight but will take a screen shot tomorrow.
It sounds like you may have gotten through a wall somehow (a glitch in the pathfinding, maybe).
I have a save I think, but not ready to give yet.
