Do you have access to another computer you could temporarily install the game on? If the intro works on another system, then with saves before hitting the game and before killing the Demon of Lies you could watch the other cutscene videos.


If the bik played can not play the bik files, then the company may have dropped support for older versions of the video format, or there may be something wrong with your system (or the CD itself).

Were you able to copy the bik files to your hard drive? If so, then the problem probably isn't the play CD.

Have you had any problems with video in other games?
If you run dxdiag (click Start | Run, type in dxdiag and hit Enter), does it report any problems? There are a couple of tests under the Display tab.

Can you boot into Safe Mode? (ie hold the F5 key down as Windows starts to load or hit the F8 key to bring up a boot menu). One person had corrupt monitor file which caused a crash whenever the computer tried to switch to 640x480 resolution, so they couldn't boot into Safe Mode or start Beyond Divinity (due to the intro video).
