Hi there, I've been boggling myself trying to figure out if I have entry to the dwarven forest after I hit the Gong at the Console of Seven, or If I can enter it before I hit the gong. I'm guessing the dwarven forest leads to the wastelands after you hit the gong.

I'm just curious when or where I will have entrance to the dwarven forest, I haven't hit the gong yet, and I'm reluctant to if I can't enter the dwarven forest afterwards.

Thanks guys,

You can enter the Dark Forest from the start of the game, assuming you can make it to the entrance alive. After hitting the gong and entering the wastelands, you can not leave to go anywhere else (from then on it is just the wastelands and Black Ring dungeons).

The Dark Forest 'leads' to the wastelands only in the sense that it must be done first (a couple of the council member quests are mostly or completely based there).

Go do everything you want to do and explore everywhere. When you are completely finished, go borrow money from Sire Patrick <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/badsmile2.gif" alt="" /> and then hit the gong.

hah no thanks, after doing some matching up with portal locations, I realized that the location of the actual portal, and the one shown on the map are both in different spots, learning that I actually have been there, and haven't activated the portal, looking at the map it seemed like an area that would make a loadscreen pop up quick like when traveling to the dark forest. But nope, taken care of.
