Hi all,

I used to play this game long long ago (back them my nick was Rana Loreus). I remembered that the latest patch for this game still had some unfixed bugs. How is the game now? Any fan-made patches for the game?

Since the game is old, are there any plans to eh, release information on how to mod the game or etc?

I think no. This question has been discussed before.

In summary, it is too difficult to modify or so.

Plus, it was never developed to be moddable.

Didn't anyone find a solution to fix the crossbow damage bug?

No, the damage portion of Crossbow Expertise is still not applied, though the Reload Time bonus is.

True Shot is also still broken (though archery is very effective even without it, so the missing bonus doesn't have much practical effect). Any skill points added to this can be removed using iZakaroN's SaveEditor (or from Kiya's site, with description), and invested elsewhere (such as Poison Weapon, etc).

I was wondering if anyone found some hex editing that can fix the damage of the crossbow. This is my favorite weapon in RPGs so I rather not put skill points in something else.

Is there any good crossbow that can be effectively be used throughout the game even with this bug?

There are no fixes for the skill, but you could use DAD's item editor to boost a crossbow's damage directly (the appropriate amount). The damage bonus is relatively small, though, so it shouldn't hurt not having it.

There are no unique crossbows that are always in the game, so you will have to rely on randomly generated monster drops or merchant inventories.
