Just started this game about a week ago. I love it so far. Playing my mage as a necro, I discovered that you can get a bit more xp by killing the same monsters again. If you resurrect them and then teleport to your home base, when you go back they will be hostile again. So you can rekill them and get more xp and gold. You can only resurrect for a short time after a battle. It probably only works as long as you don't sleep before you go back. Have not tested that part yet. There is no limit on how many times you can kill the same monsters this way.
For this reason, even if you don't play necro, it may be worthwhile to buy a spell book for resurrect. Or you may find an item that has it. SInce I specilize in necro mine will be maxed of course.
At some point I will probably do a thread on a necro build. Its an easy build and fun. Strength and Agility are not necessary at all. My charactor is level 21 and only has 25 str and 20 agility. I am currently clearing the sewers under the northen most town on the map. Forgot its name.
