Man sollte jedoch nicht denken, daß IRC einfach nur zum Chatten gut ist. Nicht zuletzt die Möglichkeit, automatisiert Dateien zu versenden und zu empfangen, hebt IRC deutlich von anderen Chat-Systemen ab.
