Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General Lanilor Dead?

This didn't happen in all my games but in one game, Demona and her orcs apparently killed Lanilor! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" /> In the conversation with Mardaneus after defeating Demona and freeing him, he'll say something about how from his house, he watched Lanilor die "like a true healer, without fighting" (quote from Mardaneus). Has anyone else ever encountered this?

I haven't had it happen in my games yet.

I've had that happen before. I think it was in a save from someone who didn't enter the catacombs at all, and was having a problem after scrying for the human council member (opening the catacombs before scrying fixed that).

If Lanilor does not move to the back room of the Blue Boar inn when the other healers move (perhaps because he has not given you the teleporter stone yet), he gets killed when Demona show up.

Did you not free Lanilor, or do so but not enter the catacombs after that, or something?

No, that's the funny thing. I'm pretty sure I did all the quests, but perhaps for some reason he didn't go to the blue boar inn with the others. When I encountered Demona near the end of the game, I said to myself "for Lanilor!" and then charged a wasted the bi... sorry, witch. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

I'm thinking this will happen to me, I found an escort for the healers before I restored Mardaneous's sanity, and now Lanilor is stuck in Aleroth. Which kind of stinks because I liked him at the Blue Boar. Oh well, lesson learned.

Heh no doubt. Does anyone know, if I kill him, resurrect him, Aura of Command him, then drop him off at Blue Boar (or wherever), leave him and come back, will he still trade with me? Guess I'll just have to try it. Though it may not work, since I just noticed that everything I resurrect immediately goes aggro on me...not sure why. I know I saw a thread on that happening, I'll have to go read it.

(edit) I read that post, looks like it happened because I resurrected a cutscene orc. Interesting. Luckily I think that happened pretty recently.
