In Windows Explorer, browse to the Beyond Divinity folder, right click on the div.exe application file and select Properties, then switch to the Compatibility tab. I think you can right click on the shortcut and do this as well.
You will need to start a new game after this, as the item corruption is written into the save and will continue once it starts.
