Hello there!

i re-picked up this game recently and it's a blast.

i can beat this game with ease if i simply follow one of the several walk through's, but that would be no fun, would it?

now, i am trying to come up with a new way of playing this game, and i could use some suggestions from you guys.

and here is my vague idea:

1, i don't want to miss any quests, so i will need to do these timed quests just to get them out of the way so i can then do basically "whatever" i want, taking as much time as i want:

a, cure Simon and Verlat, get the ring from Verlat(after a certain time point, Verlat won't appear if you go to Verdistis even if you healed him)

b, meet Krasnegar at the Dwarven Bread Inn before he leaves

c, get the escort quest from Lord Seth and then kill him before reporting to General Alix(i noticed that after a certain time point this quest fails also)

d, any timed quests that i missed? let me know

2, then i want to collect a full set, some items that can be obtained effortlessly (besides saving/loading that is) come to mind,

a, the ring in the abandoned house, Verlat's ring, that makes a pair.

b, the ID5 dagger from Ars Magicana

c, the Dragon Rider that kills you in the beginning can drop anything from necklace to chest piece.

d, i am kinda stuck here, feel free to fill me in.

3, collect the scrolls(only the ones that can be obtained without going out of the way or killing high level monsters) and activate all the portals.

4, time to go back to aleroth and now the real journey begins! and that is what i call a good head start.
