Personally I really liked DD (Finished it three times I remember and maybe four) but I really was not very keen on BD. I beat it, but I doubt I'll ever play it again. I felt that the BD system was vastly more complicated than it needed to be and not a patch on the clean and beautiful DD system. The 'trainers' idea, for example, was, IMO, a poor one and put in simply to be a 'gold sink'.

There were too many little touches like that which really didn't quite work within the context of the game, IMO, and which added up to an overall sense of frustration with the game.

It wasn't a terrible game, don't get me wrong, just... unremarkable.

Amongst the people I've talked to who've played both games, there's no doubt that DD is the favourite of the two.
