I'd like to know if it's possible to fully customize your character's looks, if you can choose between different player characters or if there's only the blond guy depicted on several screenshots like this one

If he's the only one available, is it at least possible to change his armour? I'm not particularly fond of those enormous shoulder parts/spikes (or whatever they are). Okay, it's a fantasy game, but on this screenshot
