Luc and I sat under a large tree. It seemed like a strange choice to us now, leaving our comrades and going off on our own…but then I never really liked dwarves and Jolie and Carrie were way too mushy for me so it did make some sense. We had decided to travel to the east and find faile. She had told us she would meet us in the port city of Luskan. We had traveled several days to the south and east left quite alone since we traveled through the woods avoiding the roads and the bounty hunters that were invariably searching for us. As we casually walked thru the woods one evening as the sun was beginning to set both of us snapped to attention our senses having been aroused by something. What it was we didn’t know but there was definitely more than one. We both drew our swords and walked side by side our senses in rapt attention.

It seemed that there was no end to them. I took off thru the woods running atop the trees. As I ran an jumped and fought the attackers began to thin out and then mysteriously they were gone… [/color]

“Aw dammit” I mumbled to myself. “where is Luc” I peered thru the trees looking but then realized I had no idea where the fight had started. I decided that Luc could take care of himself and would me in Luskan as soon as he could. Either way it was not safe for me to be walking around in these woods anymore. I lept atop the highest tree in sight and peered around to get my bearings back. In the distance I saw under a magnificent starlit sky the bustling port I was looking for.

I snuck through the woods until I could see the city gate. I was about to walk in and then realized that would not be the greatest idea ever. After all I was still a half demon and no doubt these people had heard about my maniacal rampage. I fumbled through my bag and found the hat the Kiya had made for me. My hand immediately went to the pendant around my neck….my thoughts drifted as I thought about my friend and smiled. I came back to earth and tucked the pendant under my robes put on my hat and walked up to the city gate.

The gate keepers name was Orson he was a jolly little fellow and unless my nose was not working I would assume he had had his share of Ale that evening. He let me in without much fuss. I walked down the main street of the town and found a nice little pub called the Swashbuckler. I walked in and decided that I would take a rest before I searched for faile. I sat down at the bar and ordered a drink from a man named Hank who appeared to be the owner of the bar. I plopped a small bag of gold coins on the table and told he I would like a room…preferably one with a nice bed. With that I sat and drank something they called Serpents Bile….it tasted terrible but it did its job, and I was soon in a much better mood.
