Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General A strange sword...

At the beginning of the game, in the catacombs under Aleroth I saw a folded sword on the ground,and if I remember well there was a dead man near it. I thought it was strange, but i kept going on my way. A few time later, near Aleroth I found it again with a corpse near it, and my character said something like "seems familiar to me".
Again, in the datk forest, in the elven village all npcs have been killed and what i found near the corpses around the fire? That folded sword again!
Now...Is that connected to some quest? Is there an assassins that leaves this sword on the ground as a mark of his "work"?

p.s. in the dark forest I freed the ghost of the sword of the stone, then I left the area and the ghost killed the two people in the camp near the road. But that strange sword on the ground make me think it wasn't the ghost who killed the elven people.....

Hey there Vash, welcome to the forum!

Those folded swords are just scenery I think, they're not quest related, but the sword that seems familiar is the one your character was holding in the intro movie. It's where you were almost killed by the orc and where afterwards Joram was led by the white cat.

So you say that's nothing concerning that sword...ok that means the butchery in the elven village was my fault OK life goes on!

You took the sword out of the stone, so the ghost goes on a rampage, yes, though it will stop if you put the it back. But that's your decision.

Hi Boys!

Do you know somebody, how can I put together the 3 sword pieses? I haven`t know yet, but I am enjoying the game without that.
I would be plead if somebody know something about that.

If you mean a sword broken in 3 pieces on the ground, it is just scenery and can not be fixed. Even when a weapon reaches zero durability and can not be used (without first repairing it), it remains in one piece.

If you found a sword with a description that 3 must be sacrificed to get one, then it is part of the holy item quest (see Gathering the Holy Items and the Sacrifice).
