I sauntered down the path, with a company of orcs behind me.
I always have, and always will, hate going into the town.
At that thought I wrapped my dark black cloak around me further.
Things were not going good at all. The Damn dwarves have been evading my troops, and we can't seem to find any of this party of adventurer's.
Luckily I had word from one of my numerous informants throughout the land, that there had been several in the town lately.
We reached the gate, and the doors opened as the scared gatekeeper saw the company of armed, angry, and rather stupid looking orcs behind me.
I quickly ran through, and several orcs followed, I left the rest outside.
I went to the inn/bar quickly and saw at once in the corner of the room by old buddy Vic Juledge. He nodded as he saw me, as the other patrons gaped at 10 orcs barging in on their nighttime tea. I walked over to Vic and tossed him a bag of gold.
"What can you tell me about some adventurer's who've been passing this way lately?"
He looked at the gold and put out one hand quickly to get it. Not quickly enough before the Orc Commander's knife pinned his hand to the table.
"I'll let you go if you tell me all. That and another bag of that gold.
Vic looked nervous but then shrugged, despite the pain he must be feeling in his hand.
"There's been rumors from my buddies about a ship. Its been going about the harbor's lately. Picking up random people. I heard that one of those foreigner adventurerer's (I didnt take the time to criticize his grammar, though I would have liked to) went for a walk today, he was all drunkish and all. Go down and you might be able to snatch him before that boat does." I looked thoughtful for a second, then nodded at the Commander. The Commander took his blade out and Vic obviously sighed in relief. Too soon. The captain brought his giant sword sweeping across and cut the head of Vic. I picked up the gold, and walked out the door.
"Sorry Vic, no loose ends" I said and walked out of the town.
I got out and me and my entourage quickly went down to the harbor. Sure enough, there was a boat.
Suddenly the sky went dark, and fog floated all around.
"No matter" I said to the Commander, "search the area for some kind of a foreigner, and hurry up". The commander nodded and went to his captains, and they went out with hunting parties.
"Wait". The ship had begun to move. "Follow that ship, it will lead you to him." The Commander nodded and we began to follow the ship as it reined down on its query...
