I was tired of being alone. My friends were all gone, my energy and will to pursue this fight dissapating into emotional staleness. Perhaps Kiya had been right, maybe this wasnt our war at all. After all what buisiness had I in helping save a world I didnt even know the name of. Since I had come to this world I had maybe two brief moments of peace. Things were not the same as they had been before, my anchor the source of my strength was gone. Allies...I could not continue alone. As I was wandered the paths of the lonely forest just off of the ocean these thoughts coursed through my mind. I had thought that I was bound to help fight this war...but kiya was right, violence will not solve this, since I had come I had sown nothing but violence, even on my friends I could still remember the pain that I saw in her face as I had tried to kill her, the betrayl that I had been the offensor of.

Walking into a clearing I saw a single rose it was suspended three feet off the ground by a single stem with only two leaves. It was bathed in the glow of a warm yellow light that seemed unnatural in the gloom of the forest. Walking up to the rose I could not help but stare. The longer I looked at it the more I could not convince myself to look away. As I continued to look vacantly into the rose it began to open up, in the center were flicks of light. They danced with one another, it was as if i were travelling thru the stars. Everything around me became dark and faded to nothingness. The yellow lights continued their dance getting faster and faster until all that I could see were lines crossing in and around one another. Suddenly the lines converged in one spot thousands of stars combining for one brief moment then in a burst of sound and light I was engulfed in the warmth of peacful slumber.

I awoke with a head pounding like I could not remeber ever feeling before. As I sat up the world was spinning and something was stuck to my face. Blurry eyed and groggy I reached up to pull the offending article away from my face...a tie, it was striped. As i came to my senses I looked around and found myself on a park bench, in a rose garden. "Wow, last night must have been Crrrrazy" I muttered to myself. Walking along the little gravel path I reached my hand into my pocket and found a marble, it was no bigger in diameter than a quarter but it was dark and black and within...thousands of little yellow lights
