I love the 'player profile to game' idea, I have to say. Would be great for gamers as well as developers. The way technology is advancing, I'm not sure someone won't create something like that online, sooner or later. Wouldn't get every player in the world, of course, but if the game companies all used some kind of giant database which allowed players to rate the games (And could filter out stuff infected with excessive DRM)... Well, players could have their own accounts that would keep track of the games they say they like and make recommendations, similar to the way yahoo music works.
On the wish fulfillment scale, I figure that one is actually quite possible...
